M.Sc. 2016
Qi completed his B.Sc. at the University of Prince Edward Island, where he did an independent project on the diversity of non-biting midges (Diptera: Chironomidae) in springs. In the process, he developed a passion for chironomids – well, someone has to love them! Qi ‘s M.Sc. was co-supervised by Heather Proctor and Rolf Vinebrooke. He explored the diversity and habitat associations of Albertan chironomids to assess whether their assemblage structure reflects local environmental features, including human disturbance.
